{"id":16793,"date":"2021-09-23T03:04:03","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T03:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/firerescuefitness.com\/?p=16793"},"modified":"2023-05-31T07:43:38","modified_gmt":"2023-05-31T12:43:38","slug":"frf-mobility-routine-for-first-responders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/firerescuefitness.com\/2021\/09\/frf-mobility-routine-for-first-responders\/","title":{"rendered":"FRF Mobility Routine for First Responders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>\n\t\tAleviate back pain and tight hips with these movements.\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QlK80xMh_Uo?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This FRF &#8220;flow&#8221; routine is a combination of back and hip mobility movements that will help alleviate those tight hips and back muscles.&nbsp; I suggest performing this routine before your shifts and workouts especially if you are feeling tight and stiff.<\/p>\n<p>The routine starts with a downward dog or inverted &#8220;v&#8221; position and progresses to the cobra.&nbsp; &nbsp; These movements will help open the upper back and hips.&nbsp; The next movement is the spiderman lunge and rotation.&nbsp; This is an FRF favorite that lets you get a deep hip stretch and will open the chest and upper body.&nbsp; The Scorpion stretch, the next movement, gets your hips moving in a different way, which will stretch the hip flexors and can relax your lower back.&nbsp; And finally, the lunge to overhead reach will unlock the hips and improve the mobility of your shoulders and lats.&nbsp; Try to do 3 reps of each movement and hold each for 2-3 seconds.&nbsp; Repeat the circuit or flow as needed.<\/p>\n<p>By combining all of these movements you will improve the mobility and flexibility of the hips, shoulders, upper and lower back, muscles, and hamstrings.&nbsp; Not that you need to spend hours upon hours working through this flow series; it can be done anytime, anywhere, and it&#8217;s not limited to workouts.
